CBN丨Omicron response: China to keep up zero-Covid strategy while many countries restrict travels

As the discovery of the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 triggered global alarms and market sell-offs over the weekend, Asian stock markets fell further Monday after the variant was found in more countries. Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney declined, though losses were much smaller than Friday’s sharp decline.
