China's consumer price index, a main gauge of inflation, grew by 1.8% year-on-year in December, up from 1.6% in November, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday. The country's full-year consumer inflation rose by 2% year-on-year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
